TangoXray is an independent amateur-radio publication and experimental lab. It is edited by YU4VLR and operated from Serbia.

TangoXray also develops RX, desktop software for received-audio processing, local transcription, callsign extraction, and station logging. How that commercial relationship is disclosed in the Journal is on About.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country if that age is higher, to use the Services. By using them you represent that you meet this requirement and can form a binding contract.

Articles, notes, images, audio, and other editorial material on the site are for information and education. They are not legal, regulatory, or engineering advice. Radio operating remains your responsibility and must follow the licence and laws of your country.

Unless a piece says otherwise, TangoXray owns the copyright in site content. Short excerpts with clear attribution are welcome. Do not scrape, mirror, or republish full articles, image sets, or course sequences without written permission.

Links to other sites, filings, software, or products are not an endorsement. We are not responsible for third-party pages or for how those operators handle your data.

TangoXray uses a research and publishing system called Olympus to monitor sources, prepare drafts, and adapt material. A draft does not go live until an editor approves it. Editorial policy, evidence rules, and corrections are on About.

The Dispatch is an email list for journal notes and related radio news. Joining it is optional. You can leave by using the unsubscribe link in a Dispatch email or by writing to us.

Joining the RX waitlist lets you ask for early access and, where offered, a founding price. A waitlist signup does not guarantee a launch date, a download, or that any promotional price will remain available. We may change or end offers at any time.

Giving us your email means we may write to you about TangoXray, the Dispatch, RX trials, launch, and related product news. You can ask to be removed by emailing [email protected].

When you obtain a licence to RX (including a free Core build, a paid Pro licence, or a trial), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use that software for your personal or internal use on devices you control, subject to these Terms and any licence shown at download or purchase.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works except as allowed by law
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where mandatory law permits
• Rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the software without written permission
• Remove proprietary notices or use the software to build a competing product
• Circumvent licence, trial, or security controls

Title and intellectual property in RX remain with TangoXray and its licensors. Open-source components are licensed under their own terms, which we will ship with the software.

Where we say Core includes updates for life, that means updates we release for the then-current Core product line. It is not a promise of every future major product, renamed edition, or paid add-on at no charge unless we say so at the time you download or buy.

RX is designed to process audio on your machine. Some features (for example QRZ.com lookup or a DX cluster feed) need the internet and only run if you turn them on. Those services have their own terms and privacy rules. You are responsible for accounts, credentials, and what you send to them.

Free Core downloads and any trial builds are for evaluation. They may be limited in time or features. A 15-day Pro trial, if we offer one when download opens, is for evaluation only. Checkout for Pro is not always open. A founding price shown on the waitlist is an offer we intend to honour for people already on the list when checkout opens. It is not a contract of sale until you complete payment.

Unless required by law or stated at purchase (for example a money-back period), fees are non-refundable after purchase. A one-time Pro licence, if offered, is a perpetual licence to use the version current at purchase, plus updates we include with that licence. It is not a subscription, and it is not a guarantee of free major upgrades forever unless we expressly say so at purchase.

Payment processors, when checkout is live, handle card data. We receive confirmation of payment, not your full card number.

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Violate any law or third-party right
• Interfere with or disrupt the website, APIs, or other readers
• Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
• Submit malware, spam, or abusive content
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Scrape the site in a way that harms availability or republishes our work as your own

You are responsible for complying with amateur-radio regulations and any laws that apply to your transmissions and recordings. TangoXray and RX are tools. You remain responsible for how you use them.

If you email a correction, a tip, a recording, or a question, you remain the owner of what you sent. You give TangoXray a licence to read it, store it, reply, and, where you asked for a public correction, to publish that correction. Do not send material you have no right to share.

The Services may rely on hosting, email, analytics, or payment providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED AS IS AND AS AVAILABLE, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the site or the software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that RX will improve every signal or contest result. Local AI and DSP results depend on your hardware, radio setup, and band conditions. Journal pieces can be wrong. We correct material errors as described on About.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TANGOXRAY AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR TEN US DOLLARS (US$10) IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.

Some places do not allow certain limits. In those places, our liability is limited as far as the law allows.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TangoXray from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

We may suspend or stop access to the website, Dispatch, or waitlist at any time. Your licence to RX may end if you breach these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (including licence restrictions, disclaimer, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The Last updated date will change when we do. Material changes may be noted on the site or by email if you are on the Dispatch or waitlist. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Serbia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country requires otherwise. Courts in Serbia will have jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer.
